ARK is looking for a Marketing Director committee member to join our team

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic and inspiring volunteer Marketing Director to join our Board. This person will work to expand awareness of ARK, helping us to further our mission of meaningfully assisting children with disabilities. The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing effective strategies to reach new supporters, engage volunteer trade professionals, identify potential recipients, and develop the community of existing ARK supporters. This person will lead ARK's Marketing Committee, and will oversee the continued development of ARK’s branding, messaging, marketing and communications.

Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary charity, whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible.

Time Commitment: Approximately 2-4 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate cross-functionally with other directors to design and implement an overall marketing strategy. This evolving strategy will achieve brand awareness, community engagement, fundraising, and volunteer support goals.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and cohesiveness across all content and communications (i.e. aligned mission, brand positioning in a consistent style and voice.)
- Drive engagement with donors, volunteers, and trade professionals who can assist us with renovation projects for ARK recipient families.
- Oversee content strategy and content development, including recruiting and supervising social media specialists, writers, graphic designers and photographers.
- Be a great copywriter yourself.
- Develop and maintain a content, marketing calendar for all of ARK’s activities
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Understanding the nuances of audience targeting and story-telling.
- Must be a compelling and proficient writer.
- Previous direct experience is required.
- Has great analytical and people skills.
- The ability to both create the marketing plan and oversee its execution is essential.
- Resident of Calgary or surrounding areas.

- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail.

**Job Type**: Casual
