**Responsible for; Skilled, Semi-Skilled and General Laborer's on site**

**Direct report; Project Manager**

**Daily requirements;**

1) Set and post, on project board, daily goals for staff for work to be completed each day.

2) Ensure all staff are logged into project on Buildertrend and confirm appropriate activity tags have been selected for work being performed.

3) Ensure set break time and lunch times are being followed by on site BQC staff.

4) Complete Buildertrend daily log for each site assigned to you. If an onsite designate has been identified, advise Project Manager and confirm completion of log on daily basis. If scheduled items not completed, identify reason(s) for changes and extensions to scheduled work. BQC office will call to help facilitate entry of the daily log. If you have not been able to contact the office it is your responsibility to enter daily project log prior to end of each work day.

5) Review materials required, for each site, for the days ahead, a minimum of 1 week forward window should be maintained for indentifying required materials.

6) Review and assess labour required, for each site, for the days ahead, a minimum of 1 week forward window should be maintained for identifying required labour.

7) Review sub-trades required, for each site, for the days ahead, a minimum of 1 week forward window should be maintained for identifying required sub-trades. A confirmation of estimated time of arrival with sub-trades to be documented via Buildertrend schedule and messages.

8) Advise Project Manager of any requests by homeowner for work to be completed not included in printed scope of work and provide information on labour materials and subtrades required for additional work.

9) Complete daily project checklists ie; site security and cleaning, tool log, etc.

10) Typically, coordination with trades and site supervision duties are expected to be accomplished in 1.5 to 2 hours a day (8-10 hours per week) per site. Balance of work day to be used to complete scope items on project calendar.

**Weekly requirements**

1) Set and post, on the project board, weekly goals for staff to be completed each week.

2) Take project progress photos each Friday and forward to BQC office in order to be posted on Buildertend project page.

3) Review monthly and weekly calendar hardcopy with Project Manager to discuss weekly goals of work to be accomplished in specific time frame.

4) Post weekly project calendar on project info board.

5) Review and sign off on all BQC staff labour hours and weekly invoicing from Subtrades

**Job Duties and Tasks;**

1) Adhere to project schedule and budget time required to meet deadlines.

2) Determine labor requirements and coordinate worker requirements on construction sites with Project Manager.

3) Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.

4) Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to workers, and clients, representing Baeumler Quality Construction.

5) Direct and supervise workers, ensuring adherence to BQC code of conduct. Setting and reviewing expectations of work completed on a daily basis.

6) Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and review with Project Manager.

7) Confirm, and oversee workers and sub trades who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing, in mandated time frames

8) Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.

9) Inspect materials delivered to site for quality, accuracy and completeness of order with in 24 hrs of delivery

10) Develop and implement quality control programs, including inspection of BQC and subtrade work to specifications and project drawings.

11) Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.

12) Confer with Project Manager, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, construction problems and changes to scope of work

13) Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.

14) Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans with Project Manager.

15) Build and display project info board to provide centralized info for job site. See sample board in appendix.

**Knowledge, Experience, Education Required;**

1) Building and Construction -- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or renovation of houses, buildings, or other structures.

3) Design -- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

4) English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
