Sign FX is a well established sign company in Ottawa that has been serving clients across Canada for over 25 years. As we continue to grow we are looking to add a sign shop labourer to our team in our manufacturing facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review design proofs daily with the Operations Manager to understand your tasks for the day
- Read and understand design proofs from the design department with good attention to detail
- Work in a team setting to create sign products
- Cleanup and proper storage of materials when moving from one job to the next
- Laminate vinyl graphics
- Weeding and premasking vinyl preparing for install
- Cleanup of shop daily to keep things organized
- Assembling signs on larger projects
- Performing quality checks on completion and organizing signs for install
- Operation of a CNC laser to cut plastic shapes
- Assist our Fabricator with material preparation including sanding, cutting materials, etc as required

Assets:

- Knowledge of the Matthews Paint system
- Work with acrylic and lexan sign faces
- Experience installing LED Lighting systems into sign cabinets
- Experience with CNC router or laser operation
- Forklift Certification
- Fall Arrest Certification
- Suspended Powered Platform Certification
- Aerial Lift Certification
- Proven experience as a Sign maker or in a similar role within the sign industry.
- Strong understanding of sign fabrication techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into visual designs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients
- Ability to stay focused on larger jobs and operate efficiently

Qualified applicants will have the ability to learn new techniques and operate in a team environment. Ideal applicants will additionally have experience manufacturing all types of signage, acrylic faces, custom metal work, pylon signs, channel letters etc. She/he will be able to work successfully independently, as well as with others on large projects when needed.

Knowledge and experience of safely using a variety of machines and tools for extended periods of time are required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
