Motiontech Services Inc. was established in 1998. The business was started with the concept of providing a more technical approach to resolving mechanical problems in the air and fluid handling equipment industry. Over the course of the last few years, Motiontech Services Inc has expanded to include representing SA Armstrong, Sheldon’s fans, and WEG motors as service dealers for not only service but parts as well. In recent years, the company has also expanded to include services such as a full machine shop, dynamic balancing capabilities in house and in field, and laser alignment of pumps.

**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Senior Service Technician, the incumbent repairs, refurbishes and maintains industrial pumps, motors and fans while maintaining a safe working environment. The Service Technician's primary activity is performing service on customer-owned pump, motors or fans.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Create and maintain job work orders
- Fill out proper documentation for receiving, servicing and returning customer products
- Disassemble and repair pumps, motors, fans etc
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance inspections
- Follow safety rules and regulations including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers
- Support other business activities as required

**Qualifications**:

- Previous exposure to pumps, motors and fan repair an asset
- Previous experience as a licensed technician, such as electrician or plumber, in a diverse environment or an apprentice with prior experience in maintenance or an industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills in English
- Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record
- Three to five years experience in a similar role preferred

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
