**Atmosphere Description**

Friends of Dorothy encourages and welcomes new ideas and creative ways for our space to operate. As part of our management team you will be guiding a fast-paced service team to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. You will be focused on the safety of guests as well as staff, while also promoting Friends of Dorothy food and beverage programs.

Some basic duties include:

- Managing volume and inventory
- Scheduling staff shifts
- Coaching staff on effective service technique
- Ensuring all safety procedures, including Serving it Right are followed
- Supervising staff on the floor
- Performing regular quality control checks on cocktails, lounge cleanliness, rate of service, etc.
- Properly running and maintaining POS systems
- Balancing a cash drawer and accurately reporting staff tip outs
- Assist staff on the floor as needed

This position will report directly, and work closely with our current Restaurant Manager and owners

**Qualified Applicants will have**:

- 1+ years bar, restaurant, or kitchen management experience
- Strong understanding of Serving It Right
- Previous experience with Touch Bistro and OpenTable
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills

**Job Requirements**:
Friends of Dorothy is looking for management team members capable of working full time with an open availability, as we grow and expand we are seeking managers and supervisors capable of operating our evening and late night services. In this role you will need to be comfortable standing for long periods of time, solving complex problems, and ensuring the health and safety of guests and staff.

Starting salary for this position is $40,000 or more depending on experience level.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Victoria, BC V8W 1M2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
