**Overview**

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) with InstaWell, you will be an essential part of our home and community care team. Your role is to provide compassionate, reliable, and high-quality support that promotes independence, dignity, and comfort for clients in their homes or community settings.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, peri-care, skin, hair, and oral hygiene)
- Support daily living activities such as meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, and hydration
- Provide mobility support, safe transfers, and heavy lifting where required
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and laundry to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Follow individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs (including dementia and disability care)
- Monitor and document changes in client health or behavior and report concerns to the care coordinator or supervising nurse
- Uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times

**Qualifications**
- Valid **Personal Support Worker Certificate**:

- Current **CPR and First Aid Certification**:

- Clear **Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Background Check)**:

- Reliable, compassionate, and flexible in providing client-centered care
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Experience in home care, assisted living, long-term care, or hospital settings is an asset
- Knowledge of dementia care, palliative care, or disability support is an asset
- Ability to perform physical tasks (mobility support, transfers, lifting) safely
