This position will be based out of the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel. Reporting to the Senior Catering Sales Manager, the Conference Services Manager will be responsible for the following:
**Responsibilities**:

- Meeting established sales quotas including outside, inside, entertaining, and correspondence for the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel and Hilton Vancouver Airport Hotel finding creative solutions to accommodate the needs and requests of all prospective clients
- Responding to walk-in and phone inquiries regarding meetings, seminars, banquets, receptions, conventions and conferences
- Creating and maintaining strong client relations and ensuring that meeting specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees
- Show-casing the hotel’s conference service facilities through client site visits
- Partners with Food & Beverage chefs, and leaders to fulfill and execute on guest needs and expectations
- Monitoring and completing catering contracts including guarantees, amendments, rooming lists and cut-off dates
- Generating banquet event orders (BEOs) and floor plans based on pre-planning. Ensuring distribution of banquet event orders on a timely basis with accurate and complete information. Receiving changes and makes any necessary adjustments in CI/TY and Delphi Salesforce
- Communicates all complete and accurate changes with Banquets and supporting departments prior to and during events
- Support social media initiatives including online reputation management (TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.), content creation and social customer service
- Two years previous experience in the hospitality industry preferably in Events, Sales and/or Banquets
- Strategic and proactive in acquiring new business clients and opportunities, maximizing sales and catering revenues while maintaining excellent client relationships
- Available to work outside of office hours including evenings, stat holidays and weekends as events/business may require from time to time
- Demonstrated ability in taking on numerous responsibilities while meeting deadlines
- Post secondary education in Hospitality or Tourism Management relating to Event Planning is an asset
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- An enthusiastic, service-oriented team player with a strong presence
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs, Excel, Outlook and CI/TY, Delphi
- Strong command of English and communication skills, analytical and advanced interpersonal skills

Pay: $63,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
