**Job Description for Principal Position**

Columbia Academy is a prestigious private school situated in downtown Vancouver. Accredited by the B.C. Ministry of Education for its K-12 program, we cater to a diverse student body, including both local and international students. As an institution, we prioritize academic excellence and holistic development, emphasizing participation in competitions, volunteerism, charitable “not for profit” endeavors, and extracurricular clubs.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, with teaching experience
- Master's Degree in Education Leadership preferred
- Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and motivating others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in problem prevention and problem-solving
- Experience with MyEDBC, Trax, and Ministry Inspection

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide dynamic leadership and strategic guidance to school staff, students, and parents.
- Develop and implement educational programs and policies that adhere to Ministry standards, fostering academic excellence and holistic student development.
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and evaluation processes for teaching, ensuring a high-quality team.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive school culture characterized by academic rigor, professional growth opportunities for teachers, and pathways to student success.
- Collaborate closely with educators to craft comprehensive curriculum plans and innovative instructional strategies.
- Forge strong partnerships with parents, community members, and stakeholders, to enrich the school's educational environment.
- Exercise prudent financial management, overseeing budgetary matters and resource allocation with efficiency and transparency.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and institutional policies, maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance.

**Benefits**:

- This position has a starting range of $80,000.00 - $100,000
