Sales Associate/key Holder

**Responsibilities**
- Interact with customers in a genuine and connecting way. Show real enthusiasm for not just products, but the properties they're based on.
- Community comes first; sales come second. Funke’s strives to be a place people want to return to, not just to buy, but to belong, to hang out and have fun
- Process transactions through the POS and maintain a tidy cash area. Offer add-ons and complete gift wrappings of customers products.
- Merchandise, keep the store looking fresh and full.
- Assist with marketing, including making social media posts of products, updating business websites, and finding new ways to engage customers.
- Assist with and maintain business records, payroll, and connections to other wholesale vendors.
- Draft replenishment orders, and keep a close eye on the store, helping the business be the best it can be.
- Some offsite work may occur, including picking up product from other locations, supplies, and travelling to trade fairs. Transportation provided.
- All store positions require constant physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting. Associates are expected to climb ladders, lift, reach, bend, and kneel to obtain products for customers and to maintain the visual appearance of the store. Associates should be able to lift 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds.
- Consistently provide the most safe, clean, and engaging experience by adhering to all safety standards and expectations.
- Maintain our values, policies, and procedures, as outlined here and as informed by our community-first focus.

**Qualifications**
- Have genuine excitement for toys and collectibles. The ability to really connect with the products and show that enthusiasm with customers.
- Effective knowledge of the toys and collectibles industry, products, and customer profiles.
- At least 1 year, preferably 2 years of demonstrated successful experience in a retail environment.
- Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Ability to manage customer expectations and handle potential customer frustrations and complaints coolly.
- Must be available to work up to a potential maximum of 40 hours per week during peak seasons.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
