**Job Overview**:
As the Order Desk Clerk / Receptionist, you are often the first point of contact for our clients. You will be responsible for helping clients place and refine their rental orders, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from start to finish. You’ll guide clients through their rental needs and offer thoughtful suggestions they may not have considered to help elevate their event and ensure nothing is overlooked. This is a key position that requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and strong multitasking abilities—especially during our high-volume periods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Take and process rental orders accurately, reviewing details with the client to ensure nothing is missed.
- Guide clients through their rental needs and offer thoughtful suggestions they may not have considered to help elevate their event and ensure nothing is overlooked.
- Collect deposits and payments, issue receipts, and handle payment-related questions.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and rental details in the system.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with warehouse staff regarding order changes, special requests, missing or returned items, and client concerns.
- Coordinate last-minute modifications and updates between clients and the warehouse.
- Follow up with clients post-event if needed for feedback, missing items, or unpaid balances.
- Welcome walk-in clients with professionalism and warmth.
- Assist, when needed, with returning and cleaning items in the front-office/warehouse area.
- Support general office tasks as needed and help ensure smooth front-of-house operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception/order area.

**Requirements**:

- **Bilingual (French/English)** - spoken and written.
- Prior customer service or office experience is an asset (especially in rentals or events).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a high-stress environment.
- Patient, polite, and professional—even with difficult or demanding clients.
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.

**Description du poste**:
En tant que commis au comptoir de commandes / réceptionniste, vous serez souvent le premier point de contact avec nos clients. Vous les accompagnerez dans la création et la vérification de leurs commandes, tout en veillant à leur offrir une expérience fluide, agréable et professionnelle. Vous les aiderez à identifier leurs besoins et leur proposerez des suggestions utiles qu’ils n’auraient peut-être pas envisagées afin d’optimiser la réussite de leur événement. Ce poste exige de fortes compétences en communication, une excellente organisation et la capacité de bien performer dans un environnement à volume élevé.
