Industrial Flooring Technician

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare concrete surfaces by **grinding, shot blasting, scarifying, and polishing** to the required profile.
- Repair cracks, joints, and surface imperfections using patching and repair materials.
- Install advanced flooring systems, including:
- **Epoxy coatings** (roller or squeegee-applied).
- **Polyaspartic and other fast-curing coatings**.
- **Polished concrete systems**, completed through progressive grinding and polishing steps.
- Mix materials accurately according to manufacturer specifications.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as grinders, vacuums, mixers, and polishers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including PPE, WHMIS, respirator use, and fall protection.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional.
- Work with supervisors and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial flooring is an asset (epoxy, polyurethane cement, coatings, or concrete finishing).
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and polymer flooring systems.
- Safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, Respirator Fit) are an asset.
- Ability to read and follow specifications and work orders.
- Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy equipment and work long shifts.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to job sites across BC.
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
