**Estimating and Project Coordination**

With guidance, you will assist in planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external associates, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously, some of which are as follows.
- Receive tender documents and accurately file them.
- Keep accurate records of jobs being tendered.
- Prioritize tenders in accordance with closing dates and take steps required to complete bids on time.
- Send Tender Documents to relevant suppliers for estimates.
- Send change orders or amendments.
- Keep track of which suppliers estimates are requested.
- Follow up on requested estimates in a timely manner to accommodate closing dates.
- Prepare estimates to propose specified equipment, and then to provide alternates.
- Implement knowledge and experience during design and estimating phase by offering suggestions, problem solutions and changes required by consulting with General Contractor, Mechanical Engineer, and fellow staff.
- Confirm alternates approval with developer and engineers.
- Order equipment in timely manner, accommodate lead times, coordinate with site schedule, interact with general and lead technicians.
- Verify that pricing charged by the suppliers matches the estimates they provided.
- Provide job cost analysis reports.
- Provide submittals and shop drawings.
- Assemble close out documents including items such as Fire Damper Trip Test Report, Air Balancing Report, Permits, Manuals, Approved Shop Drawings and Submittals, Commissioning Reports, Rebates etc.
- Observe and report progress of job sites for billing purposes. May include extras, change orders, percentage of progress draws.

**Preventative Maintenance / Service**

Develop proposals for customers with accurate equipment lists, consumables, pricing and recommended frequency.

Review past installations and build a customer database, record equipment, call to propose services and give recommendations.

Participate in occasional site visits to review equipment as a learning experience to increase knowledge and expertise in order to develop accurate maintenance proposals.

Utilize exceptional customer service skills combined with your trade knowledge to propose upgrades in order to generate and sell work such as filtration systems like HEPA or UV, AC or Heat Pump installations, Furnace and various equipment upgrades based on energy efficiency etc.

**Operation and Administrative Office Support**

Collaborate with the Dynamic Mechanical Team in operational and administrative duties. This is important because we have multiple positions with differing HVAC knowledge levels within the company, therefore information communication and assistance are always required. The goal of these duties are to ensure involvement of project plan and execution in each phase. Duties may include but are not limited to:

- Scheduling
- Billing
- Pulling permits
- Rebates
- Warranties
- Inventory
- Reviewing vendors invoices and accounts payable
- Dealerships - interact with vendors, marketing, advertising, perks, points programs etc.
- Social Media - updating photos and posts on company accounts such as Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and website platforms.
- Assist technicians in the field with troubleshooting, obtaining specs, manuals and various resources.

**Continuous Learning and Development**

Display a constant progression towards understanding the many components of estimating above and beyond the equipment. May include labour, consumable materials such as copper, sheet metal, and overhead.

Analyze job hour reports, compare with estimated hours, prepare job cost reports showing profit and loss.

Enroll in TECA courses including Ventilation Guidelines, Quality First Heat Loss Heat Gain and Duct Design, POMA Basics of Air, HRV Design, Hydronic Design etc.

Partake in commissioning of various equipment alongside technicians out in the field, such as Samsung, other VRF manufacturers, and various HVAC equipment.

Maintain up to date knowledge of ever changing grants and rebates from various organizations to inform customers and help make their choice to purchase equipment more attractive.

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
