**Description**:
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. the **Procurement Manager, Hardgoods** is responsible for developing and maintaining healthy vendor relationship; leading negotiation to obtain the possible best price, payment term and shipping term; collaboratively and strategically source and qualify new and secondary vendors to support business growth objectives; working with vendors to sign contractual agreements to mitigate risk ; implementing KPI and best practices to improve efficiency for Procurement team; Collaborating with cross function teams to meet all key dates and goals of the business; set priorities for team as well as leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports.

**Responsibilities**:
- **Lead the Procurement Hard Goods team**:lead in terms of day-to-day people management, prioritization, coaching and mentoring, as well as setting the team’s best practices, strategy, and growth plans in line with the overall company goals and needs.
- **Supplier relationship management**:Seek and establish reliable, healthy relationships with vendors or suppliers that provide quality goods at reasonable costs, and lead-times; negotiate pricing and contracts to mitigate risks; partner with suppliers on capacity planning to smooth production schedules; ensure supplier performance, volume and quality goals are met; manage performance against set KPI’s.
- **Supplier negotiations**: Lead the team to negotiate and/or in negotiations with suppliers to get the best possible pricing, lead-times, payment term, freight term, MOQs, and other commercial or legal terms in support of our business needs and objectives.
- **Strategically develop supplier roadmap**: To deliver value and meet sustainability objectives; develop policy and procedures tailored to the business to support short term and long-term goals.
- **Strategically source, qualify and audit vendors**:Collaboratively work with Sourcing Manager to strategically select suppliers based on size, strength, and geography to meet short term and long-term objectives of the business; select vendor to ensure the business receiving the greatest value of its goods or service; Initiate qualification audit to on-board new vendors; audit existing vendors regularly; identify areas for improvement and work with vendors to take all corrective actions.
- **Support Quality Assurance and Regulatory** teams with hard-goods technical documentation.
- **Stakeholder management**: Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders, cross function teams and all team members; create an environment for safety, trust, respect, and accountability; collaborate with cross function teams to achieve the common goals.
- **Collaborate with cross functional departments** to develop metrics and process improvements that are maintained throughout the year.
- Creates a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion.
**Applicant Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or other related field
- 5+ years experience in sourcing and supply chain
- Skilled negotiator with a history of negotiating favourable commercial terms and conditions
- Proven ability to influence Executive Team
- Demonstrated leadership skills and employee development experience
- SCMP, CSCP designation or equivalent (optional)
- Intermediate to master in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point), including Excel Pivot Tables, managing complex formulas and data
- Knowledge of BI apps (e.g. Power BI), BOM and ERP/MRP systems and processes
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics considered an asset
- Fluency in Chinese language (Mandarin, Cantonese) considered an asset
