**Job Role**:Scheduler
- Southbridge Care Homes are currently looking to add one caring, passionate, and enthusiastic Nursing Scheduler Temporary FT to our amazing home family, who can serve our lovely residents, to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. On a daily basis, reporting to the Director of Care, our Nursing Scheduler at Southbridge Lakehead will enhance the effective management and performs administrative duties, reception operations and scheduling duties within the Nursing Department._

**_ As a Nursing Scheduler, you will be accountable for:_**
- _ To prepare and post the Nursing Department schedules as per contracts; prepare, post and maintain the daily nursing schedule, including making calls to staff; _
- _Answering incoming telephone calls, take and relay messages; perform filing assignments for the Administrative department; _
- _Input changes to the staff schedules daily and present them to DOC for approval; perform various clerical duties and prepare reports as required; maintain or assist in maintenance of resident records and files; _
- _To answer absentee calls, identify replacement staff, and track and record all occurrences; _
- _To prepare daily assignment sheets and record daily nursing hours; to maintain records of hires, terminations, leave of absences, job positing’s, etc; _
- _To maintain a current & detailed list of seniority; to post vacant positions; to award positions for Nursing department according to contract, in conjunction with DOC; _
- _To interpret collective agreement for clarification purposes; _
- _To act as PHIA Privacy Officer in conjunction with the Social Worker; to promote a culture of safety in the work environment by adhering to the Workplace Safety and Health Program;_
- _ To uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity. _
- _Other duties as required._

**_ Requirements:_**
- _ Clerical/administrative skills._
- _ Experience with scheduling of staff._
- _ Pleasant telephone manner with strong customer service skills._
- _ Demonstration of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality._
- _ Excellent organizational and communication skills._
