**Job Profile**

Grand River Foods is seeking a highly motivated, self starter who is able to lead a high functioning Shipping & Receiving Team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Daily Supervision of Shipping, Receiving and Logistics Personnel across 3 shifts
- Approximately 28 hourly employee’s (drivers/shippers/receivers/material handlers + 1-2 Hourly Team Leaders
- Ensure all GMPs, and Health and Safety rules are being followed and adhered to on a daily basis
- Direct responsibility for the management of Raw Material and WIP inventories with short shelf lives in cooler, freezer, warehouse and trailer storage locations
- Use of Canopy, Telnet, and Carlisle for daily and weekly inventory reconciliation between various virtual warehouse locations
- Management of I-Warehouse and Demerit Point system as it relates to plant mobile equipment
- Ensure upkeep of internal lifting devices. (walkie’s, forklift’s)
- Scheduling of all shipments leaving plant and the receiving of incoming raw materials
- Coordinating incoming/outgoing product shipments and inspections (short weights, sizing)
- Verification and accuracy of daily paperwork, manifests etc.
- Management of CHEP & GRX pallet programs

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree
- Knowledge of machine guarding and lock-out tag-out of equipment
- Previous experience working in manufacturing and/or food preferred
- Proven ability to effectively lead and grow a team with 2 or more years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to effectively assess and train a team
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail a must
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and analytical skills
- The ability to build relationships and work effectively and cohesively with other departments
- Strong inventory management experience and ability to reconcile daily including correcting scan usage errors and pallet IDs
- Constant communication with ALL departments regarding supplies for daily production.
- Forklift/Walkie/Other Mobile Equipment experience required
