**Accounts Payable Specialist**

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance department.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to verify billing accuracy
- Obtain proper approval for invoices prior to payment
- Organize and produce payments including cheques
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
- Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary diploma preferred
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with YARDI an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
