We are currently recruiting a Project Manager to join our Building Division. A Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management including construction project start up, schedules, and obtaining necessary permits. They adopt Gateman-Milloy Inc.’s project management policies and the use of systems, prepare project revenue targets and budgets, establish performance standards, and interpret project costing reports for executive management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Management of ICI construction projects with values in excess of $5M, keeping projects on budget and on schedule to satisfy budgets and divisional business plan
- Coach junior and intermediate level Project Managers and their support staff with varied backgrounds and experience
- Aid in developing project estimates and proposals, add value engineering, and modifying the scope of work as necessary to minimize cost of construction
- Manage site meetings, RFI’s, invoices, and control the document process
- Report to executive management any concerns/trends with projects that may be critical to the division’s financial performance
- Coordinate Site Supervisor, subtrades, materials, and project workforce needs
- Manage project activities throughout project lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success
- Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget
- Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, and subtrades
**Requirements**:
- A university degree or college diploma in construction or civil engineering technology, or project management is required
- Minimum 5+ years experience in project management in the ICI construction industry preferred
- C.E.T. and or equivalent combinations of technical training is an asset
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Identify and manage risks
- Well organized and able to work well under pressure
- Excellent computer proficiency, especially MS Word, Excel, Project.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2007 and Timberline is an asset
