**Preschool Educator**

**Shift: 8:00 - 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid break)**

Richmond daycare is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team**.**We are providing care for ages 19months - 6 years, located in the SW.

**Skills and qualifications you have**:

- Experience working with children aged 19 months - 6 years old.
- Enthusiastic, engaging and a passion for working with children.
- A flexible and positive attitude that is adaptable to change, stress, and daily challenges
- Ability to take the initiative and get things completed in a timely manner
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Knowledgeable with Early Learning and Child Care Regulation and Act
- Early Childhood Educator Certificate OR Diploma/Degree - Level 2 or 3 (**REQUIRED**)
- Current First Aid Certificate - level B (**Required or willing to obtain**)
- Calgary Police background check with vulnerable sector search completed within the last 6 months (**Required or willing to obtain**)

**Job description**
- Observations, planning and implementing programming
- Setting up classroom activities and materials, based on planning and observations
- Work cooperatively as a member of the childcare team, facilitating a team environment through personal behaviour, work contributions, and the sharing of expertise and knowledge
- Provide effective supervision, support classroom routines, and maintain behavioural expectations with children
- Assist children with self-help skills, including feeding, toileting, and diapering.
- Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
- Serving meals and snacks.
- Ensure classroom or play environment is kept sanitary and implement a cleaning schedule

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Police clearance w/ vulnerable sector? within last 6 months (preferred)
