The Municipal Group of Companies, based in Bedford Nova Scotia, is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, mining, and environmental services industries within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the expertise of a **Health and** **Safety Administrator **to join our team from our head office based in **Bedford, NS**.

**Job Summary**:
The **Health and Safety Administrator** reports to the Senior Director of Safety and performs administrative work in support of the management of Health and Safety programs and Workers’ Compensation claims.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Routine data entry and maintenance of various databases
- Maintenance of various spreadsheets, data analysis and reporting
- Reconciling of multiple data sources to ensure consistency and data integrity
- Filing of electronic and paper documents
- Take accurate minutes in meetings
- Maintain and distribute communications contact lists
- Route incoming and outgoing communication to appropriate parties
- Assist with projects, events and development of reports and presentations
- Other duties as assigned

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- 1-3 years experience in a similar office administrative role
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good planning and organization skills, ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- 1-3 years experience in Health and Safety or Disability Management is considered an asset
- Experience with eCompliance, IS Networld, and/or Avetta is considered an asset
