Aramark Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a Baker to join the team at LSC Tim Hortons, Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Baker is responsible for the planning and preparations of all baked goods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
- Coordinate and be responsible for preparation, production, handling, storage and presentation of all baked items
- Baked goods include but are not limited to, breakfast pastries (muffins and cinnamon buns), lunch box pastries (cookies and squares), and main meal desserts (cakes, puddings and pies)
- Ensure adequate quantities of the menu choices are prepared as per the menu plan, and follow all production quotas as outlined by the Chef
- Knowledge and experience of both manual and power kitchen tools
- Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
- Ensure adherence to Aramark’s Policies and Procedures
- May be responsible for cash handling procedures; processing payments by cash, debit/credit card, etc.
- Additional duties may be assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years baking/culinary experience
- Journeyman or Red Seal Certification in the Baking trade or equivalent is considered an asset
- Valid WHMIS and Food Safe Advanced Certifications are mandatory, First Aid is an asset
- Must have experience with scratch baking
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently, supervised and unsupervised
- Must be able to lift minimum 10lbs
