**Position Summary**
We’re looking for a **Marketing and Events Coordinator** to join our dynamic team and help us elevate our brand, coordinate unique events, and expand our community outreach.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Marketing**
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to promote The Beer Can’s events, partnerships, and overall brand.
- Manage social media accounts, ensuring consistent and on-brand communication across platforms.
- Monitor marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, and videographers to produce marketing materials.
**Event Coordination**
- Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including live music performances, DJ sessions, and community showcases.
- Work with artists, performers, and vendors to coordinate schedules, logistics, and agreements.
- Ensure that events align with The Beer Can’s inclusive values and creative vision.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and promotional strategies to maximize attendance and success.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact during events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues.
**Community Engagement**
- Build relationships with local artists, community organizations, and partners to expand The Beer Can’s reach and impact.
- Support initiatives of _The Beer Can Foundation_ and its mission to champion local arts.
- Promote inclusivity and create a welcoming, safer space for all attendees.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in marketing, event coordination, or a related field.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for arts, music, and community development.
- Knowledge of Winnipeg’s local arts and culture scene is a strong asset.
**Work Conditions**
- Part-time to full-time hours, with some evening and weekend availability required for events.
- Hybrid work model, with on-site presence required during events and meetings.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
