**Position Overview**:
As a District Produce Manager, you will lead and manage the operations of several retail grocery locations, overseeing day-to-day activities to ensure they meet company standards. You will be responsible for driving produce sales growth, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your leadership will play a key role in optimizing store performance and enhancing the customer shopping experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Operations Leadership**: Lead and manage the operations of multiple retail grocery locations to ensure compliance with company standards and goals.
- **Team Management**: Lead and manage the produce department team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure high performance.
- **Product and Merchandising Oversight**: Oversee product selection, pricing, and presentation to maximize sales and customer satisfaction. Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.
- **Inventory and Stock Management**: Monitor inventory levels, order products as needed, and ensure proper stock management across all locations.
- **Sales and Performance Optimization**: Drive sales growth by implementing effective strategies, analyzing sales data, and optimizing store performance to meet sales targets.
- **Staff Development**: Recruit, train, and develop store management teams, helping them grow their skills and capabilities to perform at their best.
- **Financial Management**: Oversee budgeting, pricing, and administrative functions to maintain financial integrity.
- **Customer Service Excellence**: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met consistently, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- **Operational Compliance**: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce department and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- **Supplier Management**: Negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality products at competitive prices.
- **Point of Sale (POS) Management**: Utilize POS systems for tracking sales and managing payroll, ensuring operational efficiency.
- **Team Culture**: Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide feedback, and implement improvements based on market trends and customer feedback.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role, ideally in the grocery or produce sector.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and POS systems.
- Experience in recruiting, training, and managing teams is essential.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as budgeting, payroll processing, and cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on driving results through data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
- A passion for retail sales and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
