**Business Intelligence Analyst - **Reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysis & Business Intelligence, this role will support the preparation and creation of informative analysis for business users across Mitacs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support preparation and review of management reports including performance reports for internal stakeholders ensuring key issues and or trends are highlighted with focus on key drivers
- To help create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI that are informative and easy to read for stakeholders across the organization
- Assist in identifying KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently
- Review and validate incoming data
- Identify and create recurring reports to ensure data is pulled in a timely manner for decision making
- Complete SOPs and Maintenance documents for dashboards and report processes as necessary
- Transform data into insightful reporting information (ability to tell the story) with limited guidance

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- BS in computer science or information systems
- 3-4 years of data preparation and analytics
- 3-4 years of experience working in Power BI is required with experience in DAX programming language
- Advanced Outlook and Microsoft Office Skills
- Knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis would be considered an asset
- Experience with JET considered an asset
- Self-motivated with ability to motivate others. Teamwork is essential
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong relationship builder - must be able to establish working relationships with business leads across the organization
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong level of business and financial acumen to support understanding and decision-making
