Vancouver Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc. (VCC) is a specialty trade in the construction and demolition industries. VCC provides professional concrete cutting services to most major development companies, general contractors, infrastructure and other trades in the Lower Mainland. In addition to concrete cutting services, VCC also provides Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services as well as holds patents internationally for the ASO-Valve.

The successful applicant will have experience in the construction industry and a desire to learn a new trade. They must show initiative, reliability and the ability to follow directions and anticipate work process needs & hazards. This position involves physical labor including standing, walking, bending, and lifting both indoor and outdoor, rain or shine. The role is designed to help the Field Coordinator grow professionally within the trade with ample opportunities for accelerated advancement.
**Duties**
- Supporting concrete cutting, coring & scanning operators
- Maintaining a clean worksite, taking initiative and learning new skills.
- Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas.
- Vacuuming slurry and removing & loading concrete.
- Assisting in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites.
- Directing traffic at or near construction sites
- Maintaining equipment and keeping vehicles clean, reporting equipment needs and repairs to Manager.
- Collaborating with team to prioritize, organize, accomplish work tasks while meeting schedules.
- Having a good understanding of tools and materials on-site, including proper use and maintenance.
- Building or taking apart bracing, scaffolding and temporary structures.
- Following construction plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Understanding and implementing company and site-specific health & safety procedures.
**Skills/Qualifications**
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s Licence and ability to commute to Richmond BC is a MUST
- Service oriented, with a dependable and professional work ethic
- Able to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Must be able to handle a physically demanding job.
- Positive attitude and approach to work
- Construction experience is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Available to work on short notice if required.

Compensation: Salary is paid on an hourly basis and depends on relevant experience. $20-$24 per hour. Extended Health and Dental program (after 3-month probationary period). Opportunity to advance to different positions within the company and industry.
