Advisor, Labour Relations
The **Advisor, Labour Relations**?is a key differentiator for PASS. In that the position is accountable for ensuring that our employees are being supported in a manner that is consistent with best practices, policies and procedures outlined by PASS’s Corporate People & Culture Department. In addition to day-to-day labour relations in compliance with our collective agreements with a large union in the Vancouver location, the Advisor, Labour Relations is also responsible for the following functions:
- Communicate effectively with employees and management to identify problems and resolve conflicts
- Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints and provide appropriate resolutions
- Work closely with several cross functional departments across the Pacific Region
- Support the representation of management in the Collective Bargaining process
- Deliver coaching and training programs on collective agreements, employee relations issues such as respectful workplace, conflict management, and investigations
- Collaborate with People & Culture Team to update and maintain the employee handbook and other HR policies and procedures
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
- Support the Employee Care and People & Culture Teams with projects or initiatives, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in labour relations, human resources, or related field
- CPHR/CRHA designation is an asset
- 3+ years of experience in labour relations or related field
- Experience in collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and dispute resolution
- Familiar with Federal labour laws and regulations
- Experience working with labour unions
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance
- Travel may be required to other airports in the region.?
**Salary: $75,000 - 85,000**
**Work Location: This position is based at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
