**_The opportunity_**

Reporting to the Director, Global Sustainability, the Manager, Sustainability will support in the compilation and completion of the Company’s various ESG disclosures including its annual sustainability report, rankings, surveys and questionnaires. The incumbent will be involved in the work to help Gildan deliver on its ambitious ESG commitments with the ability to work autonomously and be proactive (take initiative) in delivering outcomes.

**_ The role_**

Assisting the Director, Global Sustainability this position will:

- Identify, gather, and analyze ESG data and prepare content for Gildan’s annual ESG reporting and other public disclosure-related reports, ratings, and surveys following global standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, UNGCP, TCFD, CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, DJSI, etc.)
- Provide support in the preparation of internal ESG reporting to management and the Board of Directors
- Provide analytical support, market research and metrics, supporting strategic initiatives
- Identify and communicate emerging trends and sustainability initiatives, partnering with strategic internal and external business partners
- Be well informed about regulatory developments and reporting requirements in the various jurisdictions in which the Company operates
- Build and present detailed project plans for sustainability initiatives
- Provide recommendations to adopt new sustainability processes/procedures in alignment with our business.

**Key Relationships**

Under the VP, Global Social Compliance and Environmental Affairs the position will report to the Director, Global Sustainability and will be responsible for coordinating with Gildan’s various business units and manufacturing hubs to support the Company’s ESG disclosure efforts. The role also provides an opportunity to acquire experience dealing with a range of stakeholders, including NGOs, ratings agencies, internal management, and senior leaders across the organization.

**_ What you bring to the role_**

**Knowledge & Professional** **Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in sustainability management, climate science, or a related-environmental, social or engineering discipline having seven to ten years of experience in the related field
- Strong understanding of ESG topics and ESG-related standards and frameworks including GRI, SASB, UNGCP, TCFD and third party ESG surveys and/or questionnaires (CDP, S&P CSA, ISS, WBA, Sustainalytics, etc.)
- Strong foundational understanding and experience with developing detailed project plans, process and controls including those over ESG data integrity and reporting/disclosure
