Are you passionate about animals and dedicated to providing exceptional care and service? Mosquito Creek Veterinary Hospital, a holistically minded and busy veterinary clinic in North Vancouver, is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our compassionate and collaborative team.

About the Role:
As a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. You’ll play a vital role in advocating for the pets needs, caring for client's needs and supporting both our front-desk operations and veterinary team. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and potential for additional shifts during peak times or staff vacations.

**Key Responsibilities;**
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Assist and triage clients over the phone and in person.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date in the clinic's database.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians as needed, including preparing examination rooms and handling laboratory samples.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
- Educate clients on services offered, including vaccinations, preventive care, and other veterinary services.
- Has a passion for animals and experience working with them.
- Is confident, competent, and compassionate, with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Can multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Is capable of independent problem-solving and prioritizing urgent tasks.
- Is proficient in using office equipment such as computers, telephones, and scheduling software.
- Has the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Has flexible availability to accommodate busy periods or provide vacation coverage.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- No weekends

Work Location: In person
