**Role**:
This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate transportation of emptied trailers from Mid-Island (Nanaimo) to our warehouse in Victoria and loaded trailers back to the assigned yards after regular delivery hours. This position requires three to four 10 hour shifts ranging between 6pm start time; hours will fluctuate during slow and peak periods.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Performing necessary pre and post trip inspections on a variety of equipment.

Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues.

Keeping accurate and up to date log books and load sheets.

Transporting trailers from completed routes in the evening from the mid Island to our warehouse and loaded trailers back to the assigned yards.

Ensure that all necessary paperwork, STS scanners and keys are accurately assigned to the appropriate route(s)

Follow Sysco Safe preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.

Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer.

Attend all required company meetings.

Other duties may be assigned.

Class 1 with a clean drivers abstract;
Must be detail oriented and well organized with good communication skills;
Ability to set goals and meet deadlines;
Ability to work in all weather conditions;
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
