We are offering a year-round Permanent Full Time Driver/Forklift operator position in our Nanaimo division. Starting salary of $23.00/hr and scales up depending on experience, we offer a health plan with immediate enrollment and no probationary period. A typical workday would run 7:00 am - 3:30 pm for a minimum of 37.5 - 40 hours per week, there is potential for O/T pay each pay period. This is an incredible opportunity to transition your career into the construction field, or to get commercial driving experience. The driving is mainly short haul and would involve shuttling B-Trains back and forth to the Nanaimo Seaspan Terminal.

**6 Month Retention Bonus $1,000**:

- $500 paid out at 3 months of continuous employment.
- $500 paid out at 6 Months of continuous employment.

We are looking for a person with a Class 1 license but can have mínimal driving experience and is needing to log more driving hours. You bring energy, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, reliability and have own transportation.

Duties include but not limited to:

- Driving truck, shuttling between Nanaimo yard and Seaspan terminal.
- Forklift operator in yard when not driving truck.

Additional training opportunities:

- Earn forklift ticket for heavy machines.
- Earn apprentice hours for:

- Carpentry.
- Concrete Finisher.
- Welding.
- Rigging.
- Crane Operation ticket.
- ACI concrete testing certification.
- First Aid training.
