Goderich Toyota is looking for a **General Sales Manager** to join their team in Goderich.

Our **General Sales Managers (GSM)** are responsible for customer retention and the profitability of the New and Pre-Owned Sales departments.

Working with Sales Managers and Brand Specialists, our **GSM’s** strategize for advertising campaigns and other promotions. They are key motivators to the entire Sales department, and they utilize their skills and experience to make sound business decisions.

The **General Sales Manager** is directly responsible for developing a passionate, customer-focused sales team that achieves repeat business through the development of strong relationships and by regularly exceeding customer expectations.

**Compensation Structure**: Base Salary + Commission.

**Job Duties**:

- Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the New and Pre-Owned sales representatives.
- Provide Sales Representatives with up-to-date product information.
- Plan and implement sales-incentive programs.
- Plan budgets and authorize expenditures.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns.
- Provide expert sales and negotiation support to all Sales Representatives.
- Liaise with finance, service and other departments to help facilitate sales.
- Determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of staff.
- Create and maintain a high level of morale and enthusiasm.
- Set and manage the achievement of monthly team and individual sales targets.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the sales team.
- Complete monthly formal reports of Sales team performance.
- Develop annual budgets and targets.
- Assist with vehicle inventory management.
- Perform other duties as required.

**What We Look For**:

- **A valid OMVIC License is required.**:

- **Previous automotive sales management role is preferred.**:

- Automotive sales experience with proven sales abilities is preferred.
- Familiarity/experience with Toyota brands is preferred.
- A passion for customer service and a commitment to excellence.
- Leadership ability and team building skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and One-Eighty is an asset.
- Well-developed problem solving skills.
- Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices as needed.
