**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/SERVICES**

**Recruitment Responsibilities**:
**Talent Sourcing and Acquisition**:

- Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and other networking activities.

**Interview Coordination**:
**Onboarding**:

- Assist in the development and execution of onboarding processes for new hires.
- Coordinate orientation sessions and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

**Job Posting and Advertising**:

- Draft compelling job descriptions and post openings on relevant platforms (i.e., Indeed, LinkedIn, University Boards, etc.).
- Monitor the effectiveness of different recruitment channels and make recommendations for improvement.

**HR Coordinator Responsibilities**:
**Employee Records Management**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Facilitate documentation for new hires, terminations, and other employment changes.

**HR Policy Implementation**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure that policies are up to date in accordance with current legislation and make necessary internal policy changes.
- Ensure employees are aware of and comply with company policies.

**Performance Management**:

- Contribute to the performance appraisal process, including scheduling reviews and tracking performance documentation.
- Collaborate with managers to ensure timely and constructive feedback is provided to employees.

**Employee Recognition**:

- Coordinate and participate in the planning of employee recognition programs.
- Organize and celebrate employee anniversaries, birthdays, and other milestones.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and supportive workplace culture.
- Other duties as required.

**LEADERSHIP**
- Reports directly to the Director of Human Resources, who will provide training, mentoring and leadership in this role.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- College Certificate or University Degree in Human Resources
- More than 2 years of recruitment experience
- CHRP preferred, or in the process of obtaining certification for CHRP
- Proven experience in recruitment and HR coordination roles
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices and employment law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional, team-oriented, organized, adaptable, and dependable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Aligned with CEM Core Values

**PRIMARY OBJECTIVES/MEASURABLES**
- Expediency in the recruitment process

**WORK HOURS**
- 24-40 hours per week, dependent on department needs
- 24 hours per week allows for full company benefits, as per our benefit provider, after 3 months of employment with CEM Engineering.

**LOCATION**
- St Catharines Office at 25 Corporate Park Drive - minimum 3 days per week in office
- Possibility of visiting the Oakville office once per month

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
