**Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)/ Pre
- Construction Coordinator**
The individual will report directly to the Director, Pre
- Construction. The VDC / Pre-Construction Coordinator will support the overall integration and BIM process of the Company by implementing advanced digital tools and practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop BIM Execution Plans (BEP) to provide a standard for the development, use and exchange of digital data.
- Create procedures, manuals, Revit templates and families to set a company-wide standard for working with BIM and AutoCAD.
- Develop and model 2D/3D construction phasing, logistics and sequencing through 2D drawings, 3D models and construction schedules.
- Create 4D simulations, giving the end users the possibility to experience their project in Virtual and Augmented Reality.
- Prepare material take-offs utilizing data extracted from 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit, Bluebeam and Excel.
- Identify models and design issues and interferences across disciplines using 2D drawings and 3D models on Navisworks and Bluebeam software.
- Responsible for detecting drawing deficiencies (i.e. miscoordination or lacking information) and issuing RFIs to the consultants.
- Manage 3D models, perform clash detection, chair BIM Coordination meetings and assist in developing solutions with the Project Team and the Design Consultants.
- Utilize lessons learned from past projects, when reviewing drawings and models, to ensure the same mistakes don’t arise in the future.
- Perform conversion from 2D CAD drawings to 3D models for Project Visualization.
- Manage 3D Models through BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and work alongside the preconstruction and construction site teams to support decision making.
- Utilize BIM/ VDC tools and platforms for constructability review, construction equipment utilization and virtual reality.
- Participate in project meetings with clients, consultants, trades and SKYGRiD team and update meeting minutes when assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum post
- secondary degree/ diploma in construction (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Architectural, etc.) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ construction experience.
- Technologist/Technician diploma or advanced stage of participation in pursuit of Engineering degree/ Civil/Structural design knowledge would be an asset but not necessarily required.
- Proficient with Revit, Navisworks, BIM concepts, standards, and workflows.
- Must be Knowledgeable with Fuzor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
- Willingness/adaptability to learn new skills and software packages to accommodate project needs.
- Must have excellent drawing comprehension of Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural and Structural Drawings.
- Must have experience with clash detection software and be able to review, filter and document clashes.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Works well in a team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to perform well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of construction sequencing would be a valuable asset.
