Position Summary The Regional Purchaser assists Branch Managers in forecasting products needed, buys, product bookings and new product lines. They maintain accurate and appropriate inventory levels by managing through accurate reporting, ordering, and transferring. This position will be based out of our Coquitlam, BC at 100 Golden Drive. **Responsibilities**: - Work closely with Branch Mangers and Home Office’s inventory control team - Analyse stock movement for the Region and determine whether to order on a Purchase Order (PO) or to transfer from another location - Ensure efficiencies are achieved through adequate inventory levels, keeping in mind inventory turns - Review all open PO's weekly and scrutinise any outstanding PO's - Assist Branch Managers in preparation work for partial and full inventory counts - Participate in the inventory counts and assist in the reconciliation process - Plan, execute and reconcile the cycle counts for the Region locations in a timely fashion - Ensure all "negative" items are resolved in a timely fashion - Ensure all inventory related paperwork is completed on time and scanned to the appropriate contacts - Ensure stock rotation and keep track of products expiry dates when necessary - Support and train the respective branches to ensure that common inventory errors are prevented **Requirements**: - Demonstrate the core values of collaboration, teamwork, fiscal responsibility and initiative - Work closely with the Region’s Branch Managers and with the corporate team at home office - Strong computer skills including a high proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office and Divalto - Attention to detail, must have the ability to follow up on multiple tasks - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, French is desired but not mandatory - Experience with Convoy’s products, policies and customers is an asset - Ability to work in a team environment - Three years experience working in a construction or building materials environment is an asset
