Richmond, Canada Progressive Automations Full time

**About Us**:
Progressive Automations is a leading provider of linear actuators and motion control solutions. With a strong presence in global markets, we're excited to expand our team and are seeking a talented individual adept at developing and growing a strong base of OEM customer accounts across North America.

**About the Role**:
As the Technical Sales Account Manager, your day-to-day work will revolve around an assigned account base of B2B OEMs and project-based customers. You’ll spend time getting to know these customers in depth - understanding their challenges, business goals and priorities. You’ll leverage your skillset to build long-term, lasting relationships with key customer stakeholders, turning them into long-term advocates.

This is a goal-based role that provides flexibility to approach your work in the manner you see fit - you’ll play a key role in improving the customer onboarding and implementation experience based on your existing expertise and on-the-job learnings.

**Core Responsibilities**:
As a Technical Sales Account Manager at Progressive Automations, you will be responsible for:

- **Customer Development**: Identify new and additional opportunities within our existing customer base and establish strong relationships with key personnel to increase our share of wallet through new projects and up/cross selling related products.
- **Account Management**: Act as the main point of contact for your accounts. Ensure customers are satisfied and get lasting value from their relationship with Progressive Automations. Monitor key customer metrics and flag potential issues to the quality and logistics teams.
- **Project Management**: Oversee the validation and implementation stages of new products within your accounts, leveraging engineering and support teams as needed. Accurately manage project timelines, orders, coordinate demand, and work with logistics to ensure timely delivery according to agreed lead times.
- **R&D Input and Customer Feedback Loop**: Work closely with our product development teams to align current and future customer requirements with product capabilities, playing a key role in determining the development roadmap.
- **Market Insight**: Gather and report on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.

**Who We're Looking For**:
**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or in lieu of diploma, work experience in a technical sales or account management role.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years in technical sales, sales engineering, or B2B account management.
- Proven experience selling non-capex components to industrial clients and OEMs. Experience selling linear motion components is not required but would be a strong asset.
- Existing relationships with OEMs in North America are highly desirable.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Familiarity with linear actuators, motion control products, motors, or similar technologies.
- Advanced understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing documentation and parts approval processes (e.g. PPAP).
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and basic programming (e.g., Arduino) is a plus.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Experience with CRM systems and sales enablement platforms like HubSpot.
- Ability to confidently work with ERP systems such as NetSuite, leveraging reports to keep track of your customer base.
- **Communication**:

- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish language would be a strong plus.

**Personal Attributes**:

- **Self-Starter**: Strong sense of drive and ownership with the ability to work independently.
- **Detail-Oriented**: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- **Customer-Focused**: Ability to manage customer expectations and build long-term relationships.
- **Team Player**: Comfortable working across different teams to achieve common goals.
- **Analytical Mindset**: Data-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- **Goal-Oriented**: A hunter mindset with a passion for exceeding targets.
- **Curious & Informed**: Keen interest in staying updated on market trends, customer needs, and industry developments.

**What We Offer**:

- **Impactful Role**: Be a key player in growing our footprint in the North American market.
- **Competitive Compensation**: Attractive salary with uncapped, performance-based incentives.
- **Growth Opportunities**: Work with a rapidly growing company where your contributions directly influence our success.
- **Collaborative Environment**: Flat hierarchies and a supportive team culture.
- **Support Resources**: Backed by our B2B Customer Success Team for non-technical support, and our Application Engineering Team for the technical lift, allowing you to focus on sales and client relationships.
- **Flexible Work Arrangements**: Options for remote work and flexi
