We are looking for someone who is creative and hands-on, possesses a strong work ethic, is results-oriented, has strong leadership skills and enjoys working with others in a dynamic environment. The Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in staff recruitment, onboarding and retention, payroll execution, personnel file administration, and support of operations with any human resources related matters. With our workers being the key to company success, the Human Resources Manager will directly impact outcomes for our Burnaby operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead all recruitment efforts
- Establish and maintain relationships with external employment support organizations
- Payroll execution and administration
- Lead the process in addressing employee HR related issues
- Work with the Senior Management team and Operations to improve and streamline HR processes and programs
- Continually assess training needs; develop and coordinate training programs in conjunction with Managers; track and report training initiatives
- Manage STD/LTD claims and other programs to ensure timely return to work
- Perform various administrative tasks related to the role

**Education, Qualifications and Skills**:

- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in human resources management, business or related field OR 3+ years’ equivalent HR working experience preferably in a production environment
- Payroll experience is necessary
- CPHR or working towards the designation
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Self-motivated, strong hands-on work ethic
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a Unionized environment would be an asset, but is not a must
