Bronte Pet Services is a professional, respected pet services company looking to add to our team. We provide one-on-one dog walks, cat visits, and overnight care. We are seeking a part-time dog walker for established clients in the Vancouver area (mostly Mount Pleasant, Commercial Drive and surrounding areas).

Most dog walks are Monday - Friday, between 9am - 5pm. We are looking for someone who is available part-time during these times, and for vacation coverage as needed. We are open to working around school, work, childcare or other commitments as long as there is reasonable and consistent availability. If it's a good fit, there is the possibility of this converting into a full-time position within a few months.

**Requirements**:

- Experienced with and fully comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.
- Comfortable handling behaviour issues such as pulling on leash, leash reactivity, and prey drive/reactivity to other animals. Extensive training is provided.
- High degree of professionalism and able to follow guidelines on care - safety of the dog and handler is our first priority.
- Able to travel around our service area quickly and efficiently. Having a car of your own is preferred, but if you have experience with serious bike, e-bike, scooter, or other commuting, let's talk (Taking transit is usually not a viable option to maximize travel time during the day).
- Looking for a longer term, part-time, flexible working situation. This position would start with 15-25 walks per week on average. If it is a good fit, it is likely that this position could become full-time. We like to offer our clients continuity, so a minimum of six months commitment is requested, with a year being ideal.
- We are fully insured and pride ourselves on our high standard of care. We are licensed, insured, and provide WorkSafe coverage and liability insurance coverage for our team members. Walkers will be asked to provide references, a Criminal Record Check, attend paid training, and obtain Canine First Aid certification if they do not already have it.

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
