**Job Overview**

As a pet sitter you will take exceptional care of our clients pets and their homes while in your care.

The Dog Walker position is **PERMANENT**and **FULL TIME.**You must be able to sign a **ONE YEAR CONTRACT.**This is a contract position. Therefore, your **wage is based on how many dogs you walk**and how many pets you pet sit in a month.

You must use **YOUR OWN VEHCILE**to transport 6 dogs at a time.

**RESPONSIBILITES**
- **Walk dogs of various sizes** and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- **Maintain control of all dogs** at all times, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.
- **Walk dogs safely**to/from your car to the trails.
- Monitor the behavior of dogs during walks and report any concerns to management and pet owners.
- Provide basic training commands as needed to reinforce good behavior while walking.
- Clean up after dogs during their walks and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's walking schedule, preferences, and any special needs.
- Ensure all dogs are properly equipped with collars, leashes, and identification tags before walks.
- **Communicate effectively** with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- **Provide exceptional customer servic**e to build strong relationships with clients
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding feeding, grooming, medication or special needs.

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
- A genuine love for animals
- Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable.
- **Experience walking dogs on and off leash**:

- A strong understanding of dog behavior
- Previous **experience in pet care and customer service**:

- Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques.
- Ability to safely walk 6 dogs on leash from your car to the trails
- Safely use a reliable, **dependable vehicle** capable of driving in various weather conditions (dry, rain, ice, snow),
- **Physical stamina**to walk for extended periods of time (3-4 hours a day).
- Enjoy walking out doors in all weather conditions.
- Familiarity with pet sitting and general pet care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or crates).
- **Must use your own vehicle** that can transport 6 dogs at a time.
- Must use your own outdoor gear, rain gear, hiking boots, winter gear.
- **Must be reliable, punctual, can work on your own and possess a strong work ethic**:

- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and members of the public.

Pay: $4,500.00-$6,500.00 per month
