Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and ensure compliance with CBSA regulations, customs laws, and other government agency requirements
- Perform audits and reviews of customs entries, classifications, valuation, and origin declarations
- Identify and correct discrepancies to mitigate compliance risks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal teams and clients
- Assist with the resolution of customs delays, requests for information, and enforcement actions
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams and clients regarding HS classification, permits, valuation, and documentation requirements
- Liaise with CBSA, CFIA, and other regulatory bodies as needed
- Maintain and update internal compliance documentation, SOPs, and training materials

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in customs compliance or a similar role within the brokerage or logistics industry
- CCS designation (Certified Customs Specialist) preferred or in progress
- Strong knowledge of CBSA regulations, D-Memos, and relevant trade agreements (CUSMA, CPTPP, etc.)
- Experience with HS classification, valuation methods, and origin determination
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with customs software and Microsoft Office Suite
