In order to assure our customer’s satisfaction, we are looking for a full-time **Maintenance Technician/Painter.** **Key Responsibilities**: - Perform drywall and plaster repairs, including surface preparation for painting. - Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on fences, gates, and related structures. - Complete basic carpentry work including repair, adjustment, and installation of doors, cabinets, baseboards, shoe molding, countertops, and vanities. - Carry out minor plumbing repairs and replacements such as toilets, seals, faucets, sinks, and shower fixtures; assist in diagnosing issues prior to engaging licensed technicians. - Replace or repair light fixtures, electrical outlets, and switches; provide preliminary troubleshooting of electrical issues. - Undertake minor flooring repairs, including patching gaps in hardwood or laminate flooring. - Diagnose and perform minor appliance repairs or replacements, including refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, and dryers; escalate complex issues to appropriate service providers as needed. - Execute residential painting projects, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing using various techniques to meet company standards. - Complete tile work including repair or replacement of ceramic or vinyl tile as required. - Collaborate with maintenance staff and special project teams to complete renovations, unit turnovers, and other assigned property management tasks. - Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner; document maintenance activities and report unresolved issues to management. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; comply with all safety regulations and company policies. **Requirements**: - Working knowledge of multi - Residential Highrises - Have the tools required to complete the responsibilities of the job effectively and correctly - Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively as well as to create and maintain effective working relationships with members of TerraCorp Management Inc.’s staff, subcontractors, tenants, and visitors **Skills and Experience**: - Painting - 5 years (preferred) - General Maintenance - 5 years (preferred) - Drywalling - 2 years (preferred) - Electrical (minor) - 2 years (preferred) - Carpentry - 3 years (preferred) - Minor Plumbing repairs - Great attention to detail - Customer service oriented - Good communication skills, to ensure items are addressed as needed - Ability to work independently and self-motivated - Positive attitude and team player - Must have their own vehicle If accommodations are required, please bring this to the attention of the hiring manager if contacted. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: - Cambridge, ON (N1R): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) **Experience**: - painting: 1 year (preferred) - Facilities maintenance: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (required) Willingness to travel: - 50% (preferred) Work Location: In person
