**Summary**

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is to**lead order processing and picking on the warehouse platforms. With little supervision, they must guide and instruct drivers, as well as inspect all deliveries. Shipments leaving the facility must also be inspected and be compliant with our food safety code. The Shipper/Receiver must re-locate all raw materials, packaging materials, and other products to their respective areas and ensure traceability.

**Responsibilities**
- Comply with the receiving schedule each day and manage receiving platform
- Greet drivers and receive Bill of Landing for incoming materials
- Analyze bill of landing/PODs to ensure the address, contact, and purchase order numbers are correct
- Conduct inspection of trucks/trailers before unloading, checking for any damage or potential contamination
- Unloading, loading and inspecting of packaging materials and raw materials, checking for any damage or potential contamination
- Using a forklift to move and re-organize products in designated areas, ensuring newer product goes behind older products and ensuring that FIFO is maintained at all times
- Update online logs and complete required documentation to ensure traceability.
- Assist in inventory control, item labelling and cycle count procedures.
- Assist in outdoor lot management, ensuring truck movement is safe and efficient.
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- 1-2 years experience as a shipper/receiver preferred
- Completed High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Valid counter-balance license with recognized institution
- Proficient in Microsoft, experience using SAGE is a bonus
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is an asset

**Working Conditions/Potential Hazards**
- High lift-truck traffic
- Temperature changing environment: humidity, heat, cold
- Noise-heavy environment, personal hearing protection can be provided upon request
- Exposure to wet conditions, slippery floors
- Exposure to food odors
- Possibility for heavy lifting, manually moving products up to 50lbs
- Fast-paced environment
