**Job Summary**

This position encompasses two areas of responsibility:
1) Assembling of our monitoring and controls product line. This work requires great attention to detail and some instrumentation background.

2) Providing professional technical services and support to InWater customers, including fieldwork locally and occasional travel to other locations within BC and Canada. Responsibilities include equipment commissioning, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

**Specific responsibilities**:
In the office/shop, you will be responsible for:

- Assembling our water quality monitoring products with a keen eye for detail.
- Conducting in-house equipment repair using your expertise in instrumentation.
- Writing comprehensive site reports detailing fieldwork and managing our customers expectations.

In the field, you will be responsible for:

- Servicing, commissioning, installing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment and instrumentation in hatcheries and on aquaculture sea-sites including monitoring equipment, aeration and oxygenation systems, UV systems, oxygen generators and ozone generators.
- Preparing and planning for field operations. Fieldwork can be both exciting and unpredictable, necessitating thorough preparation, organization, flexibility, and quick thinking. Your mechanical background and electrical knowledge will be essential for success.
- Conducting work on remote aquaculture sea-sites in a camp-style setting, requiring adaptability, self-reliance, and a great attitude. This work requires long days in the field, often in difficult conditions.
- Working with a diverse range of customers, who are highly skilled in their field. Your communication skills will be crucial for success.

**Qualifications and key skills**:

- Experience in instrumentation, either through years of experience or theoretical knowledge.
- Mechanically inclined with strong skills using a multi-meter and a basic understanding of electricity.
- Experience in manufacturing and fabrication.
- Demonstrates a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and maintains an excellent attitude.
- Exceptional prioritization and time management skills are essential for success.
- Excellent communication skills, both within our team and with our industry partners.
- Displays self-awareness, flexibility, and open-mindedness.
- Possesses a customer-service mindset.
- Thrives on challenging the status quo and excels in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in the aquaculture industry is an asset but not required.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
