Responsible to profitably grow sales to achieve yearly sales goals as a sales consultant for current core industries and emerging industries and markets; responsible for prospecting for new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customer. **Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities** - Conducts on-site customer visits with new and existing customers. - Manages sales volume with an existing group of customers, prospects successfully to expand the customer base - Forecasts, prospects, and bids for new business to include customers, markets, and additional service opportunities. - Maintains existing and builds new customer partnerships. - Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers on all levels of an organization. - Shares market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization; establishes relationships and working partnerships. - Partners with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues. - Identifies customer products’ needs and coordinates execution of orders. - Assists in training or mentoring of associates. **Nature and Scope** - Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. - The nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. - Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process. - May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel. **Work Environment** Occasional heavy lifting as required. **Minimum Qualification** 2-3 Years Selling Experience to Industrial Customers **Education and Experience** Post-Secondary Education, Diploma or Degree in Business or related field preferred. Two (2) years outside sales experience with a successful track record in a customer service and/or related field; industry experience preferred in Industrial manufacturing, Warehousing, Construction, fabrication etc. **Critical Competencies to Drive Business Results** - Strong team player with a “can-do'' attitude and passion for excellence - Hunter mentality - Must meet or exceed annual targets. - Understands and executes the Sales Process from Prospecting through Closing. - Exceptional communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills - Strong appreciation for excellence in customer service is a MUST. - Reliable, confidential, and conscientious - Strong initiative and ability to handle increasing responsibility over time. - Excellent time management/organizational skills with ability to meet important deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail - Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills - Strong business acumen and sense of urgency - Positive attitude, ability to work with a high level of energy and focus. **Preferred Qualifications** - Point of sales (POS) system or consultative selling/solution selling experience is required. - Knowledge of customer business needs. - Knowledge of Bolts Plus Inc. product line and core customers. - Wholesale distribution experience, specifically experience with Fasteners, is an asset. - Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is an asset. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Store discount Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) **Experience**: - Sales: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: - G-Class Drivers License (or equivalent) (required) Work Location: On the road
