Supervisor, Billing and Finance

Reporting to the Manager, Billing and Finance, this position requires a hands-on individual with superior communication skills who will manage and direct key functions within the Billing and Finance team.
** More specifically, the Supervisor, Billing and Finance will**:

- Manage daily operations relating to receivables and payables and ensure the timely resolution of issues.
- Accomplish departmental objectives by measuring billing results against plans, evaluate and improve methods, and implement required changes.
- Review or assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure processes are documented and current.
- Assist in external audit work including reviewing schedules and working papers.
- Analyze customer accounts, identify, address and correct issues attributing to account delinquencies.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in the preparation of various financial reports and analysis including third party administration summaries, health care spending account summaries and self-insured benefit plan reconciliations.
- Lead various projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with other leaders and departments on matters pertaining to billing and finance and TPA business; and
- Coach, support and engage the team.

**What does it take?**
- Completed post-secondary education in accounting/business administration
- 5 or more years of experience in an accounting position with sound knowledge of Canadian accounting principles is an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office products with advanced knowledge of Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Experience using Sage 300 accounting software is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Comfortable dealing with customers and company personnel at various levels
- Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal
- Comfortable presenting to groups of all sizes
- Strong coaching and effective leadership skills
- Proven problem solving and root cause identification skills; solution oriented
- Demonstrate good judgement, reliability, and professionalism in fast paced environment
- Bilingualism is an asset (English & French)
