As material planner you will have the overall responsibility to ensure that the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum stock levels
- Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries
- Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
- Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement
- Maintain inventory records (daily reporting of material receipts and book out of parts). Assist with cycle count documentation and annual physical count activities.
- Execute reports in Jonas and excel to facilitate reporting of information
- Participates in the set up different purchasing programs for supply management, such as Kanban, JIT, VMI
- Adheres to safe work practices and company safety rules at all times
- Coordinate logistics activities
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in a Business or Materials Control related field or equivalency.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding supply chain processes and their interdependencies
- Able to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Self-starter, capable of identifying the need for, and taking, independent action.
- Strong interpersonal, problems solving and planning skills are required.
**Term, Hours of Work and Compensation**
This position is a full time role with a three (3) month probationary period.
The hours of work shall be consistent with the ordinary business hours of the Company and may vary from time to time.
The role is entitled to 4% vacation pay and paid statutory holidays.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
