Klohn Crippen Berger’s Power and Transportation Group in Vancouver has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Document Controller. We are looking for a Document Controller for a full time permanent position.

This role will provide support to a large Project Team for the Power and Transportation Group in Vancouver. As part of a Project Team, you will be mainly working with the Project Manager, Engineering Leads and their teams and will be responsible for maintaining accurate construction records for a large hydroelectric project.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills who can work independently but will be part of the Project Team. You will be someone with excellent problem-solving skills who is detail-oriented, organized and can multi-task competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Previous work experience in document control is required, ideally in a consulting engineering environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
General Project Support (administration and document management)
- Numbering deliverables and other documents per client standards.
- Registering and classifying deliverables and other documents as required in the document management system.
- Prioritize document review workflow as needed according to project timelines and time constraints.
- Follow review workflow until documents are transmitted to the client.
- Ensuring submittals follow project and client quality requirements/standards.
- Transmitting deliverables to the client and ensuring schedules are met.
- Assisting team members in use of the management system and ensuring procedures and project standards are followed.
- Adhere to project procedures at all times and guide team members in the same.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with document control, preferably working in an engineering, contracting, construction or consulting industry.
- A diploma in office administration or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to proof and edit technical documents.
- Superior computer skills within Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project); very proficient in Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with managing documentation in a database, such as SharePoint, Aconex or Newforma.
- Experience with BC Hydro document standards an asset.
- Knowledge of Python considered an asset.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to catch inconsistencies in documents.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize conflicting priorities.
- A collaborative and positive attitude along with an aptitude for learning new areas of work.
