**Position Summary**

The Warehouse Laborer's primary responsibility is to package finished goods for shipment, primarily the crating of commercial pumps. This includes validating accuracy of materials provided, using a chop saw and pneumatic nailer to crate pumps, keeping workspace clean and organized and updating ERP and production boards as required.

Measures of success:

- Crate 16 pumps/day or as required by demand

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Ensures accuracy, completeness, condition of materials received
- Builds pallets; maintains adequate hardware and wood supply in work cell; requests supplies needed to meet demand
- Packages and palletizes finished goods
- Weighs finished goods on scale with forklift
- Labels packaged product with appropriate signage including order number, weight and dimensions
- Support in the consolidation of warehouse material and on-going housekeeping to maximize storage capacity
- Updates ERP for work performed; maintain records as directed
- Maintains electric truck and fork truck; notifies supervisor if repairs required
- Completes orders of highest priorities daily; ensures maximum output for work area
- Maintains orderly work area; ensures equipment is in good operating condition
- Adheres to all safety policies and wears personal protective equipment as required

**Qualifications**

Required:

- No experience required but must successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned
- Forklift experience preferred
- Physically able to manipulate hand tools and power tools and push, pull, lift and/or move materials of up to 60 lbs.
- Able to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks
- Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems
- Attention to detail is essential for success
- Well organized
- Capable of following written and/or verbal instruction

Preferred:

- 1+ year warehouse experience
- Forklift and/or reach truck license
- Carpentry experience

**Work Environment**

This position works primarily in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
