Brampton, Canada Maple Lodge Farms Full time

**ROLE PURPOSE**:Responsible for oversight of the Special Events Show Members during special promotional events, ensuring that all parts of the event are set up and running smoothly. To maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in the Special Events Garage, drive a class AZ truck to and from Special Events.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES**
- Ensures all Show Team Members follow correct health and safety practices, servicing techniques, food preparation guidelines, along with MLF policies. Oversees staff and reports any performance issues to the Special Events Team Supervisor.
- Responsible for ensuring that all health and safety practices are being enforced (i.e. food is cooked to correct temperature, all staff are wearing latex gloves (or pre-approved alternative material) when handling and/or serving food, all cooler temperatures are correct, etc.)
- Can perform all job functions of a Show Team Member (Server, Cook, Promoter, and Mascot), and provides backup for these roles when required.
- Ensures that all parts of the team’s setup are clean before, during, and after the event.
- Ensures all Team Members are acting, at all times, in a way that promotes the image of Maple Lodge Farms as a fun yet professional company.
- Ensures that all truck drivers follow all road safety rules and MLF driving policies.
- Ensures that all Team Members are working to their maximum potential and relying on the correct information regarding MLF and our products when interacting with the consumer. Provides assistance to Show Team Members when necessary.
- Drive Special Events truck/trailer to and from events; maintain shop safety and cleanliness of the promotional truck and trailer. Care and maintain of the promotional truck and trailer.
- Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Two years of previous retail and/or customer service experience required;
- Must be available to work weekends;
- Drivers must possess a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and pass in house driving test prior to operating MLF fleet vehicles;
- Must be comfortable speaking with people, and have an outgoing and engaging personality;
- Must be able to stand comfortably for up to 8 hours per day;
- Must present a professional appearance and wear specifically required apparel.
- Computer literacy (MS Office)

**EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- Secondary School Diploma required
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field preferred.
- AZ license an asset

**WORKING CONDITIONS** Office Based
- Office environment (10%);
- Field work (90%) - field event work includes indoor and outdoor events all seasons.
- Local travel required with approximately 4-8 weeks of overnight travel required annually.
