**CareCorp Senior Services is a trusted agency company who provides superior healthcare, food services, housekeeping and laundry service to long-term care facilities across BC.**

**We are looking for a laundry aide / housekeeper to join our amazing team in one of our beautiful long-term care facilities.**

**Previous experience in a long term care facility or with the senior community is **_preferred_** but not required**
- Our scheduler will work with you closely to match your availability with the hours we have in the facility_

**Facility address: Cerwydden Care Home, 3243 Cowichan Lake Road, **Duncan, BC, V9L 3P1**

**Compensation**:$20.97-$22.58 per hour**

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleans areas such as floors, stairways, walls, windows, and walkways by methods such as sweeping, spot washing and damp / wet mopping, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing.
- Cleans carpets and rugs by methods such as vacuuming, shampooing, brushing, and using appropriate equipment
- Cleans items such as furniture, woodwork, ledges, fixtures, and blinds/curtains by methods such as dusting, polishing, washing, and wiping.
- Cleans and sanitizes washrooms and replenishes items such as soap and towels.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of Resident rooms and washrooms.
- Checks and restocks housekeeping supplies to predetermined levels.
- Maintains related equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing items such as filter bags and belts.
- Pick up soiled laundry from residents bedrooms.
- Wash, dry, fold and sort laundry using approved methods, chemicals, commercial dryers and protective equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skill**:

- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- WHIMS certificate.
- Pervious experience in long-term care (preferred).

**To** **mitigate the risk COVID-19 transmission among persons in our care, patients, residents and staff, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long-term care facilities. **While this order is in place, staff are limited to working in only one (1) private long-term care hospital (facility), licensed long-term care facility, registered assisted living facility, stand-alone extended care hospital, or provincial mental health facility.**
