Halifax Independent School celebrated 50 years of “Learning and Loving It” in 2024. It is a child-centred space emphasizing strong relationships and active, experiential learning. We are located in Halifax’s west end, and have approximately 175 students from pre-primary to grade 9.

We have part-time positions available for energetic, responsible team-players in our Extracurricular Childcare Program - both Lunch Monitor shifts and Afterschool Assistant.

Part-time hours: 6-15 per week

**Availability**:
**Must be available to work Monday and Wednesday lunch shifts, and at least one other shift per week.**
- Lunch Monitor Shifts 12PM - 2 PM
- Afterschool Shifts 3 PM - 5:30 PM

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Must be a punctual and dependable
- Experience working with children
- Must have a flexible schedule, and be available to work during the school week

**Background Screening and Qualifications**:
All staff are required to have/acquire the background checks below. Existing search results are acceptable if issued within the last 12 months.
- Child Abuse Registry check
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.20 per hour
