Victoria, Canada HIS Kids Childcare Full time

HIS Kids Childcare is looking to hire somebody to join their bustling before and after school care centre in a Supported Childcare position working one-on-one with a young girl with Down Syndrome entering Kindergarten. Hours will only be after school from 2:00pm-5:30pm

The worker will be responsible for all aspects of her day-to-day, some of the needs include the following:

- She is non-verbal, with limited American Sign Language. Communication is her biggest need.
- She has a history of Leukemia so persistent and consistent hand washing is required.
- She can walk but will need help going up and down stairs, including getting on and off the bus. She will sit in a full harness car seat.
- She wears pull-ups, worker will need to assist with bathroom duties.
- She is currently more engaged in parallel play rather than interactive play.
- Must be 19 years old with one year of similar experience
- Valid Childcare first aid/CPR
- 20 hours of relevant courses
- Up to date Criminal Record Check
- Valid driver's licence is an asset (Class 2,4 or 5)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
